God created everyone of us for a reason/an assignment/ a purpose to complete in our lives.
That reason, assignment, purpose- may be for one moment, a season or a life time.
God gives the purpose, the Holy Spirit reveals it to you. Often it is apparent, but we often choose to ignore it. If you don't already know your purpose - you will need to pray about it and then listen for the Holy Spirit. The answer may come at anytime, anywhere and it may not be what you expected or wanted, but it is still YOUR purpose to complete. You may have one purpose, your may discover others later. But surely, you have at least one.
Discovering your purpose has nothing to do with things like:
1. a vision board 2. starting a business 3. being an entrepreneur 4. deciding to go back to school 5. getting married
Discovering your purpose is simply finding out through prayer and listening to what the Holy Spirit tells you. Actually, your life has given you clues, but you may have not been listening or too afraid to answer God's call.
Heads up so that you do not stumble as you pursue purpose - your momma, daddy, best friend, spouse, even your pastor cannot tell you what your purpose is - they may be able to give you clues - but they cannot tell you what your purpose is - only the Holy Spirit gives the revelation.
Now, I hope that I have provided some clarity so that you can use your efforts to discover what God wants you to do with the life He has given you. Remember, our lives our not our own, our lives belong to God and He has a reason/an assignment/ a purpose for all us to do before we die.
The true meaning in this life is found in Matthew 25:21: His Lord said to him, "well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many thing. Enter into the joy of your lord".
That's it. In the end, nothing else will matter.
