The Calling

The Call is clear. I know you order my steps.

But sometimes I don’t know what to do.

Like blurred letters against a wall, I see the mission ahead of me,

but cannot always make out each word and its meaning. I have never traveled this road before.

Most times I am so excited to do your will that I run ahead of you then I have to stop and sit and wait.

And then I look up and I see you have left another door opened just for me.

But it’s other times when I am so excited, but my mind starts to think and ponder and gives its opinion. By you pull me back and realign me to your purpose.

I am nobody, nothing but you have given me this assignment to do which you have written in my heart and being.

You have shown me pieces of your vision here and there and sometimes I desire to see more, but I know pieces of the vision is what is best for me.

I thank you God for choosing me, for believing in me.

God as I go on this journey to do you will, strengthen me Lord.

Empty me and fill me with you.

You know me and my weaknesses.

My prayer is that everything be about you and your glory Lord.

Let nothing be about me.
