Over the past year I have walked through a few challenges and struggles. Many days angry, upset, confused with the changes going on.
Days wondering when God was going to listen to my prayers and move my mountains.
Many days walking through the same struggle asking why God, when God?
But who am I to ask God these things. He took me low and humbled me. I accepted that I am nothing, I am no one, I have nothing. Everything I thought I was and had belonged to Him. My titles, my job, my house, my family, my money, my life belonged to Him. I was here to simply serve Him. Period.
When I humbled myself things began to change, my perceptions began to change, my prayers began to change, my heart began to change. And guess what? My struggle changed into a lesson.
If you are going through a few things, hold on God is working it out. But He is also working on you (Philipians 2:13).
There is a lesson in the struggle and there is a weakness (ex. pride, insecurity) that you need to acknowledge. Take your weakness to God in prayer and throughout the day and watch your own challenge or struggle change.
It’s not easy, you will have to stay in prayer, address the whys to your weakness, meditate on God’s Word. You will fail many days.
But hold on. Stay righteous,humble yourself, hold your tongue, be still, try not to complain and keep walking.
Your breakthrough is on the other side.
