Faith Without Works Is Dead -Stop Saying You Can't

I have never been the type of person that just wishes on stuff. I'm more of a proactive, get things done, problem solver person type of person. In my renewed life I am learning to rely on God and be patient and slow down.

The Bible says, "faith without works is dead". For me thee are two parts to this:

1) God will provide - He does his part, and

2) I believe that God will provide AND there must be some work or activity on my part.

It really bothers me when I hear people say they can't do this or that. We can do anything we put our minds to and all things through God who strengthens us (Phiplians 4:13).

Everybody is good at something.

I am good at organizing - so I take those skills and apply it to the things I want to do. If you are really good at cooking - which requires quite a bit of skills. You can apply those same skills to some other goal/desire you have in mind. If you like to read, you may also find you are good at writing. If you have a keen fashion sense, its reasonable to assume that you are organized and creative. If you can build a motor, its safe to say you are probably good at problem solving. Now, you have to take your particular skills and apply they to what you desire to do. Before you begin, you will need to also learn to stop some bad habits:

STOP - listening to yourself say you can't do something.

STOP- listening to others say you will fail because they failed and they are haters.

STOP - be comfortable in the same box you have been in for 20+ years and try some new stuff, meet some new people, refresh your mind.

STOP - saying you don't have the money or resources. You have money for unproductive stuff, use that. We live in a society where information is free - go to the library, take a class, take some free college courses online. Yes there are free college classes online from all over the world. (www.coursera.com) and www.youtube.com.

STOP - Relying on other people to provide you second hand information.

STOP - Being lazy which really is a symptom of fear.

One more thing, now you need to START believing and seeing what God sees in you. You are smart, beautiful (inside and out), capable, creative, etc. Whining and wishing never solved any problem. Get up, read, do some research, pray, write down your plan and exercise YOUR FAITH.
