Lord, please forgive me for thinking too small.
This week I failed yet another test.
This person keeps confronting me even when time after time I do my best to be positive, to walk in faith and speak well to him. This week, he and I just didn’t agree. My spirit is uneasy around him and I do not trust him. I could not understand why he keeps coming after me like I stole something from him. But as I stand in church service worshiping you, I now realize that I have been walking in pride and fear. This person, I feared his words and actions against me and believed that he could take what I have built. Now I realize he can take what I created, but he cannot take what you have given me. Over the past two years, you Lord have answered all my prayers. You have moved evil people out of my path and placed good people there instead. You have taken my problems and weaved them into opportunities.
In my pride, I thought I was creating something. So when I thought this person was trying to take what was mine I became angry and weak and allowed my flesh and thoughts to condemn me. Now I realize I have sinned. Forgive me Father for thinking small, for forgetting that you are God and I am not, for walking in fear. Forgive me Lord for forgetting that what you created for me is much greater than anything that my mind and hands could ever conceive and that what you create and give me, no one can ever take from me.
No one can take away the talents and gifts you have given me to use, the blessings that refresh and encourage me. So again, I am sorry Lord for thinking too small, please forgive me. I cannot ever think and live small when I am a Child of God.
